Set several years prior to the events in ‘Confessions of a Call Center Junkie: The Diary of Lellow’, we see a struggling Lellow at her lowest point with drugs and alcohol completely immersed in her life before meeting her soon to be best friend Gia. They form an inseparable bond with each other as Lellow works to get her life back in order with help from therapy sessions and Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Getting clean and maintaining sobriety is battle for anyone Lellow learns as she has to work through her addiction problems while also struggling to maintain her life as a customer service representative, being subjected to mental and sexual abuse, her love life which includes feelings towards two men who she currently works with, and life as a sponsor in her N.A. meetings.
