Swan
Like many of my characters, I like to leave a little mysteriousness about them. Something that just drives the reader crazy not necessarily knowing the character’s motives, or feeling a character is one way when they are totally something different. Swan is no different.
Since I put myself in a lot of my characters, I created the perfect woman that I would be enamored with if I were in Caleb’s position. Now I definitely wouldn’t have made the same decisions Caleb made, but I wanted someone who was alluring to tempt God himself. Her beauty, her willingness to go further than Caleb’s wife, and the fact she has her own bag are all traits Caleb is attracted to, especially the desire to test Caleb sexually with his kink.
She could have been a typical vixen, but as the story progresses, you realize you don’t know much about her. It isn’t until one of the later chapters that you find out the truth about her, and even then, there’s more to her than meets the eye. You start to wonder if she's the shark or the victim of her story. By the end, you see the real Swan, or Janae. I know some readers (based on early reviews) hated her and blamed her for a lot that went on in the story, and I don’t absolve her of any of it, but I also like to look at things differently with her tragic background, one that’s hinted throughout the story.
Whether you hate her or love her, Swan is the backbone of this story, one that sees Caleb’s life shaken by every decision that’s made. Want to see if she’s the vixen or the victim? Get your copy today to find out.

"What else am I gonna do that pays like this? Whatever it is I may be doing, the facts are that I’m f*cking good at it. I do enjoy the pluses it brings to me, like the money and the gifts and the positive vibes, but my one true desire is to be kept. I would give it all up to be loved and to feel safe.” - Swan to Caleb discussing her lifestyle as an influencer.
